Te Kōara’s members are Māori leaders in research, investment, start-up development, Indigenous IP, Te Reo Māori, and Mātauranga Māori. They bring deep expertise and insight, weaving tikanga Māori into entrepreneurial pathways to ensure meaningful, lasting impact.
Who can present?
Anyone who meets the following criteria would benefit from presenting to Te Kōara:
Ngāi Māori who are enrolled in or employed by publicly funded research institutions across Aotearoa New Zealand.
Projects or research teams that create direct and meaningful impact for Māori communities, incorporate mātauranga Māori, or align with tikanga Māori.
Our rōpū is for whānau at any stage of their journey with Ao Māori.
What do I need to prepare?
Our team will help and guide you. Whether you need presentation and background information templates or you have your own, we will ensure you are set up well.
What does a presentation look like?
Each session is one hour and can be held either online or in person. You’ll have time to present your kaupapa and the support you’re seeking to our rōpū, followed by a kōrero where we ask pātai and discuss your aspirations in depth, so we can understand how best to help.
